I made a purchase on Ebay with my chargecard rather than going through paypal yet it showed up as a paypal charge, I went to my paypal account and there was no record of it. I think now that paypal and ebay are separate companies that maybe some of the vendors have not changed the charge information and remove paypal from the link.
