Hi I got an email from paypal@int saying you have just successfully made a payment to omnyex e commerce dmcc it will show on your paypal as skr*skrill you have the legal right to calcel this follow this link sort of thing. because i hadnt ordered anything i followed the link and submitted my details hit return and it didnt look right... it wasnt paypal at all, i hadnt made an order and nothing had come out of my account but they had just got my password; i realised and changed my password and sent the email on to spoof@paypal.com . they replied saying yes they know it was phishing scam. im really lucky i realised and changed my pass and as of yet no moeny has come out of my account and as i told paypal i expect it will stay that way. the websites look legit and they might be but having hit reply on that email it was going to go back to some weired email address ending gandi.net so, as we already know, obviously not legit! looking at the email now, it was sent to an email address associated with my paypal but not the one paypal use to contact me, the email was addressed to my email address not to my name, the email address itself looked like a paypal one but wasnt, it had intl in the domain, and when i hit reply it would not have gone back to paypal. paypal advise you forward it to them at spoof@paypal.com and delete the email from your inbox (and deleted messages i assume) try and find the email and forward it to paypal and i dont knwo about the procedure but maybe you will get your money back. I feel really really stupid for falling for it but just after christmas i was still getting notifactions of payments out, but i suppose not this long after xmas. I just hope this helps someone before its too late. Safe shopping guys xx
