This is not a scam. When you post an ad in the classifieds, you are charged a fee.

I have no idea what this is. I assume it is a scam or fraud..How do I charge this back from my credit card?

martha on June 26, 2017

I had to call a phone number which was attached by my credit card statement and followed a charge of 150 dollars on my VISA statement. After 2 more people connected me to others, I finally learned it was for an obituary to be published in local paper. I did do the transaction but was never told there was a price at all. The newspaper company said this was another department. So it seems legit, but all this is very VAGUE and misleading. The newspaper said this group handles ads and circulation of the paper! No other explanation was ever given when I placed the ad, or even afterward. Must make the phone call and hopefully your card company included that number on monthly statement !! All this is totally unfair and questionable!!!

This is for your local newspaper. Google the number and call them about the charges

This company is so bogus. It is the Phoenix AZ newspaper. I left Arizona in Nov 2015 and of course cancelled my newspaper. On Feb of 2018 they started billing me for the newspaper. I called them and they said they had no record of doing it, (but then they started aggressively telemarketing the phone number I called from). I had to get my credit card number changed to remove the charge. Today 9-20-18, they billed me again. I called AZ and of course they denied making the charge, even though Capitol One said it was generated by them to my new credit card number (how in the hell???). I guess I'm in for another few months of telemarketing hell (and of course I had to change my credit card number yet again.
